About Robert L. Watson, MD

Robert L. Watson, MD, DABA, FACC, DAAPM, is a distinguished and accomplished physician and professional. He retired from the United States Army as a colonel; from 1979 to 1983, he was the acting chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at the Uniformed Service University Health and Science Medical School and was the consultant in anesthesiology to the US Army surgeon general. He is a distinguished military graduate of The Citadel and also graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University. Later in his professional career, Dr. Watson has done extensive research and has been widely published; he is credited with developing the neuroaxial narcotics Duramorph and Infumorph. He is the chief of the Department of Anesthesiology at The Medical Center at Bowling Green, Kentucky, and is an adjunct professor for the University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine.
