About Dennis A. Revicki, PhD

Dennis Revicki, PhD, is a Senior Vice President, Outcomes Research with Evidera located in Bethesda, Maryland. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina, University of Florida, and Georgetown University. Dr. Revicki is currently Co-Editor-in-Chief for Quality of Life Research.

Dr. Revicki‚Äôs research focuses on instrument development and psychometric evaluations patient reported outcome (PRO) assessment and regulatory strategies, and the design and statistical analyses of PRO data from clinical trials. He has been involved as an investigator in the Statistical Coordinating Center for the NIH sponsored Patient Reported Outcome Measurement Information System (PROMIS) since 2005.  Dr. Revicki worked in the pain domain group, developing item banks and measures of pain interference, behavior, quality, and intensity. He has published over 300 peer reviewed articles related to pain outcomes and other PRO measures for chronic and acute diseases. Dr. Revicki recently co-edited a book on advanced psychometrics and modern measurement theory with Steven Reise, Handbook of Item Response Theory Modeling: Applications to Typical Performance Assessment.
