About Our Practice

Our doctors have specialized training in neurology, pain and electrodiagnostic nerve and muscle testing. They are able to help you find the cause or main source of your pain and then discuss what treatment alternatives you may have to deal with the problem. This may include:
- medications
- nerve blocks
- physical therapy
- acupuncture
- chiropractic adjustment
- or even surgery.
The cause of your pain may be due to an injury or damage of the nerve. Or it may be due to a structural problem in the body, such as a ruptured disc or bone spur in the neck or back, or a cyst or tumor that may be pressing or pinching a nerve.

To diagnose these problems, the doctors perform a comprehensive consultation, including a:
- detailed history
- general physical
- neurological examination
- and electrodiagnostic or nerve testing, like EMG or SSEP, to find any damage to the nerves, muscles or spinal cord.
Any previous tests, x-rays, CAT scans or MRIs you have had are reviewed by the doctors and then considered along with the history and exam findings, in order to determine the cause of your pain.

Though we are not a long term pain management center, during the early testing and evaluation of your pain problem, some pain management may be provided.

If long term pain management is necessary, we can provide you with the names of several pain management centers in our area.
